One of the more current projects that we took on was for some very special friends of ours, the McAllisters. After knowing them for many years, we’ve come to love working with them on a professional basis and learning their unique tastes.
James McAllister, who works as an orthopaedic surgeon, and his wife Lisa are big fans of our furniture range and especially love its unique style and its distinct African spirit.
The couple have recently moved their consulting rooms to a bigger premises and thus needed to fill the space with more seating. In the excitement of this move, Lisa and James expressed their eagerness to get rid of their old furniture and revamp their waiting area and office with a more refined furniture selection.
Consequently, we worked together with Lisa, who has a special flair for design and an eye for detail, and put our heads together to come out with a clear vision of what we needed to do.
We arrived at the decision to go with the Khumbula Chair, with upholstered seating, and the Intambo Coffee Table with vibrant green weaving, to liven up the space, while retaining a comfortable and homey atmosphere. Both pieces were made with the rich and hearty palette of Blackwood.
However, the redecorating did not stop there. Once the offices and consulting rooms were complete, the couple just had to have a few artful pieces added to their home. The Custom Stark Bar Unit, along with some Baxter Backless Bar Stools, were added to their entertainment space.
