We had to design and manufacture the furniture to suite the architecture as well as create the WOW factor to a publically listed – very successful corporation’s head office.
Needed to fit within budget and be delivered according to a VERY strict timetable as the building was being completed .
ALL items were custom
Main Boardroom tables were the most impressive – being designed a produced to accommodate 22 execs in a meeting. Each table (there were 3) weighed in excess of 1 Ton and was 9meters in length.
The rest of the furniuitre was a mix of Omusha (office desks), Vilikazi (benches and general meeting tables – to bring in the weave element), Khumbula for some other boardroom tables etc…
The outdoor Canteen areas were done with Kholeti outdoor tables.
woods used and finishes
2 different woods were used.
Internally was a mix of White Oak and Kiaat (when we could sustainably source). Externally we used Kiaat.
For external furniture – Oil was used due to maintenance ease.
Internally – the tough watebased Rystix was used.
Roping used were bright colours – customer choosing Red, Yellow as well as Navy Blue.
