THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE

March has seen quite a few, very cool custom wardrobes go through the factory here at HOMEWOOD, destined for various lodges around Africa.

“This is definitely one of my favourite wardrobes we’ve designed.” – Ian Perry

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR SUPPLIERS GET THEIR HARDWOODS?

Forests sustainability in Southern Africa is a REAL concern. This is why we no longer buy wood from Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique. The natural forests in these countries are disappearing fast, which begs us to ask the question – do you know where your supplier sources their hardwood from? And does it come from sustainably managed forests? Learning more about what the reality of this entails and what is happening out there exactly doesn’t take much on your part, you gain greatly from it. Knowledge is power after all. Read more.
